Turn-in Packet Contents and other turn-in requirements

INSTRUCTIONS: Unless otherwise indicated, for all major graded paper projects in this class, several parts are required which track the student's development of the final paper.

Parts of the on-paper packet ARE ALL HANDED-IN IN A "MANILA" OR ANY 9X12 (UNPADDED) MAILING ENVELOPE THAT HAS A SECURE CLOSURE. MAIN GRADED PAPERS MATERIALS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IN SUCH A SECURE ENVELOPE--NO PLASTIC SLEEVES OR BINDERS. (5pts off for each missing part of the required material--)  Each part should be clearly LABELED/identified in the class info. corner (E1,etc.) and turned in STAPLED, in this order:

[ONLINE Canvas class turn-in presentation is below.]
  • 1) On Top/First:  The Final version, in MLA format (or appropriate doc. style), proofed and polished, with
    • thesis statement underlined, and
    •  a thematic title (two-part is best which reflects topic and position separated by a colon).
    • the word count of the final draft, according to the word processor (NOT counting the Works Cited...)  printed next to the assignment ID. in top left
  • 2) Next underneath: one rough/early annotated/mark-up draft (NOT just another copy of final...) either hand written or typed--one that reflects the peer edit feedback could be most useful.
  • 3) Next: Completed editing form (s) for this assignment
  • 4) Next: any other pre-writing/topic exploration materials (loop exercise, outline, free-writing, clustering, journals, etc., stages of drafts, peer edits, etc. as per a particular assignment.
    • AT LEAST ONE PREWRITING (LOOP, FREE WRITING, JOURNAL (as required) i.e., Brainstorming OR OTHER FORMATIVE STAGE) PRE-WRITING CAN BE DONE IN THE STUDENT'S OWN HANDWRITING--Please use a photo/scan of hand written work for this packet & your files.
  • 5) LAST: For every major paper include a Process Writing, typed in MLA format (or appropriate doc. style).
  • ANY OTHER MATERIALS, SUCH AS PRINTOUTS/SAVED KEY SOURCES MAY BE INCLUDED UNDER THE PARTS ABOVE, BUT ARE NOT REQUIRED UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.
Of course, the final version and all parts must be present for full credit. Problems with incomplete or carelessly presented packet may be represented in "additional pts. off" area of Scoring Form. Insufficient proof of material as the work of the registered student in this class will result in points off, no points, or being dropped from class and referred for college disciplinary action.

PAPER packet of material should be fastened together in the order above--staples are fine--and submitted in a 9x12 manila envelope--not a folder or plastic sleeve--with student's name and course information and assignment (E1, E2, etc.) written on the outside, in upper left corner.

ONLINE Digital Canvas students should also gather the materials above in a file and upload it to Canvas as a .zip file titled " WR122 Final E2 for [student's name]"
